VidCon 2014 Recap: Pemberley Digital
As many of you know the 5th annual awesomefest known as VidCon happend last week and it was…well, awesome!
What really made VidCon so amazing for me this year was getting the chance to hang out with so many people in the LBD fandom (or as I like to call them, “my fandom-ly”)
Meeting Katie Campshure IRL was just fantastic! I still don’t understand how she is even real, but I can confirm that she is. Because the Pemberley Digital Panel was going on at the same time as the <famous panel I was on, she made a PUPPET VERSION OF ME so I could be there in spirit! I cannot thank you enough Katie!
I got to meet Bernie Su, Joanna Soromura, Dayeanne Hutton, James Brent Issacs (who is super nerdy IRL too!) and they were all just so kind and welcoming and just THE BEST!
I also got to meet the amazing people who work BTS Pemeberely Digital and they are all rock stars! They put together such a fun and interactive booth featuring the LBD costume theater props!
(Thanks for gif-ing it Claudia)
Though my highest honor though was being able to hang out with THE REAL KELSEY GELLER AND THE OFFICIAL ERIN WERT! It was an honor to be in their presence. (Seriously though, I love you two and you’re AMAZING!)
I even got to see and chat with Ashley, MK, and Max! They were great to see as always. We took like 10 reaction pictures, but this one was my favorite :D
The LBD/Pemberely Digital fandom is seriously the best! I love how we are able to interact not only with the shows but the shows creators. I love how we are able to imagine each other complexly and become fans each other.I felt so at home with these amazing people and I cannot thank you all enough for your love, your excitement, and your experience.
TL;DR The LBD/ Pemberly Digital Fandom is PERFECT and my expereince with them at VidCon was TOTES…
RICKY IS THE GREATEST AND IS ALWAYS SUPER FUN AND AWESOME TO HANG OUT WITH AND IF YOU EVER GET THE CHANCE TO GIVE HIM A HUG YOU SHOULD BECAUSE HE GIVES THE BEST HUGS
True story: on the first day of VidCon Rosie, Sabrina and I were dancing in the silent disco (dance party with everyone listening to the music through headphones) when I looked across the dance floor and saw a face that I knew from the Internet. I said to Rosie “hey isn’t that the LBD reaction guy??” We then danced across to him in the dorkiest way possible, I tapped him on the shoulder and Rosie showed him her phone, on which she had written “LBD reaction guy?” He excitedly nodded in affirmation and we all hugged and danced.
This is true! I wish I could frame that moment, it was perfect! Thank you so much for dorkily dancing over to me :)
